Wound Care at Northern Nevada Medical Group

SERVICES

Northern Nevada Medical Group helps patients with chronic wounds find hope and healing. Through the award-winning Wound Care Center® at Northern Nevada Medical Center, patients have access to advanced treatments, including two hyperbaric chambers for oxygen therapy, to treat slow- and non-healing wounds.

Our Wound Care Services

Dr. Todd Inman of Northern Nevada Medical Group is the Medical Director of the Wound Care Center. He and his team or medical professionals, wound care specialists and wound care doctors, offer many treatment options, including:

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)

The hyperbaric center from Northern Nevada Medical Center provides two hyperbaric chambers for oxygen therapy. These chambers allow for your lungs to bring in more oxygen while breathing in 100% pure oxygen for the duration of the session.

Debridement (removal of dead or infected tissue)

Risk of infection can be the most dangerous part of a wound. After you stop the bleeding, removing the infected tissue can be key to avoiding serious infection or even death. The team at Northern Nevada Medical Group can teach you how to do this or do it for you.

Infectious disease management

An infectious disease often requires medical care from professionals who understand your specific issue and how to improve conditions and prevent further problems. Northern Nevada Medical Group stands ready to help whether your infection is serious and dangerous or even from a minor cut.

Diabetic education

Northern Nevada Medical Group can provide diabetic education to patients, including information on how to prevent infection by cleaning the wound and body parts around the wound. We can recommend wound care products that promote wound healing while you treat at home, as well as provide wound care guidelines on how to clean and dry the wound.

  • Venous ulcers
